Lori Chajet has been involved in urban school reform in New York City for her entire professional career. She began her teaching career in a small high school and earned a PhD from the urban education program at the CUNY Graduate Center. Currently, she is a co-director (along with Lisa Cowan and Janice Bloom) of College Access: Research and Action based at the CUNY Graduate Center.
