The most interesting thing about the Daily News article about Moskowitz wanting and probably getting more space for her schools is that the most outrageous thing about it was buried in the article:

“The move also means the school’s teen moms will lose access to day care because Brandeis is one of a few dozen locations where day care is provided for students, city officials said.”

Does anyone know how many schools in the City have a day-care program like Innovation Diploma Plus? Particularly in the area where the school is currently? Most importantly, where will these mothers go?

  • I noticed that…

    Dear GS,
Your flashing marquis location under “Word from Our Sponsor” is pushing the UFT for a new teacher evaluation.  I would like for GS to inform the public the following:
    1.  Why is StudentsFirst NY **true** intention for pushing the new teacher evaluation?
    2.  Where in state edlaw 3012c says that the UFT has to agree to it before January 17th?
    3.  How much of the $300 million will ACTUALLY go into the classroom and the hiring of new teachers?

It would seem to me that StudentsFirst is providing the public with FALSE advertisement.  Those not in the field of education would believe everthing that’s being said in the marquis as researched information and valid.  No advertisement should be used to mislead the public no matter how much they are sponsoring you.

  • the truth shall set you free

of course they are fabricating facts–the so-called $300 million is only “up To” not a fixed amt- also over $150 million of any money is already earmarked for Administration and testing costs–the schools is better off not agreeing to a deal and letting them keep the money

  • the truth shall set you free

This is a common occurence thruout the urban school districts-Title 1 money is used to refurbish and totally rebuild poor neighborhood schools and then the schools are immediately gifted to Charter operators-in effect DEFRAUDING the Feds (wink) and the Public

  • I noticed that…

I know the truth but do they (GS) want the truth to be told to the public?  Things that make you say hmmmm!
