King, Cuomo, Coleman and their fellow privateers just can't seem to wait to butter both sides of their bread, showering money on testing companies, while setting up students, teachers and schools for "failure," closings and firings.

That almost sounds like Mitt Romney logic: Students -here, today- are (present tense) accountable for standards that they will (future tense) be responsible for years from now (present tense AND learned opinion that ignores many blue collar professions).

It may be important to check in with reality for just a moment: Our students will be held to a much higher standard in their classes with Common Core. It's going to take time for them transition into that and time for the teachers and building leaders as well.
