Did Cuomo’s new “education deputy” train under Michelle Rhee? Michelle was on NPR recently and made her typical inane comments, but one of her comments exceeded all others: “when you close a failing school, then the students can go to a better school.” Rest assured that the new education deputy will greatly accelerate the state’s involvement in closing schools, while blaming teachers.

What is it about these TFA ephemeral teachers that are determined to stay the least amount of time in the classroom and immediately become educrats making these critical education decisions that will change the eduscape for a very, very long time?

I guess since they’re not in the classroom to feel the impact of their ill-created education policies then they have no worries at all. TFA are not interested in education or children first but in their EGO FIRST!

Wow Cuomo’s new Deputy of Education spent 4 years teaching throught Teach for America then began working in the Mayor’s Office! Thank God Cuomo puts students first and brings real educators in.
