There is more to the plans that it truly shows. The DoE and the Charter Operator is not to be trusted in what they divulge to the public in itself. I suspect that the public schools that are already there will be sacrificed to the great good of the Pseudo Public Charter school.

The plan to put a Moskowitz elementary school in the Washington Irving Campus is rididculous. Having kindergartners in the same building as six high schools is completely unsound. This is the wrong decision for the little kids, the big kids, and the adults that will be left to clean up the mess as this mayor continues to sell public education to private enterprise.

The six schools that have been jammed into this space in the last four years already compete for space. Throwing little children into this building is irresponsible and dangerous.

It is interesting that you posted this article today. The past two days I was thinking about the idea of co location and hypothesizing that struggling schools are more likely to be colocated. (Specifically schools that are no currently phasing out, which would obviously be more likely.). The fact that Graphics is getting a success school would indicate that this is possibly another DOE tactic to finish struggling schools off, by further starving them. I wonder if there is a data base which has all co locations under Bloomberg listed. I would love to look into this.
