The school year has officially begun and I am sure all right thinking persons wish only the very best for our students who are here and abroad. Education is key to the positive progress of our society. Education must move with the times. If, as a society, The Bahamas is to compete on the world stage, we MUST be an educated society. My concern is that many of our young people and parents do not take education seriously and they are just satisfied with the bare minimum. They fail to acknowledge and accept that they can produce excellence in their own right!
