GothamSchools — daily independent reporting on NYC public schools

The Edu-Chat Happy Hour is an opportunity to spark conversations around current issues in education, explore new areas within the education landscape, and share ideas and perspectives, all while making new connections throughout the education field. This will be a free-flowing, informal event where you’ll get the chance to circulate among tables each designated by a particular education topic, for example:

The policy surrounding the Common Core and what it will look like on the ground
Barriers and gateways to college access
Gentrification in NYC and its effects on public schools

Some tables will even have a “host” – someone with expertise in that topic to share their insider insight. There will also be time and space for the casual networking you’ve come to know and love at YEP-NYC happy hours!
