		<description><![CDATA[Educators looking for help in making the most of cultural differences should remember,&quot;there are many roads which lead to Rome and it is not always desirable to take the royal road.&quot; A viable, meaningful, and effective community school, must include curriculum to inspire not only its spanish-speaking students, but its Black dialect speakers of African American Vernacular English,(AAVE)..The President of the American Educational Research Association,(AERA), Dr. Arnetha Ball, says&quot;Once teachers learn more about the vernacular, they can begin to understand what the students are trying to communicate and how that can be translated into academic English.
