BTW, the complainant, Joseph Holland, is not merely a restaurant owner. He is the former
Commissioner of the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (why am I doing your reporting for you?)Meanwhile, I really don’t recall longstanding PUBLIC SCHOOL PARENT ACTIVISTS with real track records and constituencies (outside of that tireless advocate and self-promoter, Mona Davids), who has gotten this kind of extended treatment. Admittedly, though, he does put out a nice press release suitable for copying.

i’ve got nothing against charter parents’ political advocacy, but i am super curious to see who takes this guy’s money.

Lopez-Pierre sounds perfect for the job of charter school supporter. At his social club he discriminated against people based upon weight, age and profession. Charter schools in Harlem discriminate against children based upon their performance. I base my statement on the over 20 students that have attended my Harlem school who have been pushed and kicked out of charter schools. Very sad that Gotham would profile anything this guy does.
