Remainders: The dream of equitable funding is alive in Portland

    nice portlandia reference

    Three thoughts:

    1. Love the NOLA lawsuit victory. Pay the workers that were illegally terminated after Katrina!

    2. Rhee is still full of it…and irrelevant. She should exit the stage like the DC citizens voted for.

    3. GS should link to the YouTube video (or DN article) showing a 68 year old grandma being abused by a group of kids on a school bus. Let it serve as an example that it’s not easy working in a school assisting with someone else’s children…and sometimes kids can act in a disgusting fashion. That video should make everyone mad!

In the current world of teacher bashing if that were a teacher the very same video would lead to vilification of that teacher.

What an idiotic statement. Take a break from your outrage and act like a human being for a moment.

  • The teacher made them do it

You’re so right. I’m surprised the teachers of the students weren’t blamed for the behavior on that bus. The teacher made them do it!

  • A parent

The GothamSchools summary misrepresents the Schoolbook article. In fact, it states, “30 cents of every dollar raised [at a school] after the first $10,000 must be passed on to the citywide foundation.” 30% is very different from “all”.
