Agreed. Too Much Information based on data that's questionable and human subjectivity that's at best natural, at worst vindictive. At times through this process, as a parent, I feel like I'm watching a soap opera.
It's distracting and more and more that seems to be the real purpose...while parents rubber neck through the "details" the real work is being ignored or toyed with.
My kids know what a good teacher is. I know what a good teacher looks like. Stop infantilizing parents, start supporting schools...

I can’t find anything meritorious within any of these
three bills.

If any one of them passes, a significant right of access by
the general public and the press will have evaporated.

It is vitally important that members of the general public
and the press know how school administrators have evaluated the quality of the
public service being rendered by specific teachers, and how higher-level school
administrators or superintendents have evaluated the quality of the public service
being rendered by lower-level school administrators.

What specific facts and statistics are these ratings based
on?

The following article in “Education Week,” as reprinted
within "NYC Rubber Room Reporter," provides a rational basis for the continued
availability of records relating to the evaluation of teachers and supervisors.

Here is the North Dakota judicial
decision that the article discusses:

Here is a Michigan
judicial decision on the same topic:

What
position is "Gotham Schools" taking with respect to each of these three bills?
