Hundreds of millions of dollars to make a test! In NY, hundreds of millions to make a data tool. WHo is getting rich off this boondoggle????????

More tests, more charter schools, more teacher evaluation systems tied to test scores, more school closings, and higher class sizes. What a way to run a school system! It’s like living through the Looking Glass.

How about a vote of no confidence for the boys at the top????

How about an Onion article about a study showing school grading systems are biased for Mayors running for reelection? Oh wait…

I think that Race to the Top should have started with accountability at the TOP. Instead of forcing the city to remove Principals under questionable circumstances in order to score cash…..Duncan should have required school systems to install new leadership at the TOP. You think Bloomberg would dump Klein for an extra 25 Million or so?

Just on that chocolate milk thing… It’s actually a really good drink for cross-country runners. I have been known to drink a few pints of it after a run or before.
“With all these schools closing, reopening, and closing again, will there ever be a class reunion? There is no longer a sense of school spirit, especially in the low economic areas as those are the places affected.”
