Ihave been a PC since 2003, not only am I biligual but very experience in many areas of the daily operations of a school. I was informed by my principal that I’m being layed off
without ever looking at the budget. This principal will not
even be at my school after june, why not leave that decision to the incomming principal. My school has 60% spanish apeaking parents who will advocate for them? Who will take the time to explain things to them? I have assisted parents with housing issues, Guided them to seek financial help from welfare to food stamps.have been someone they can come to & speak with regarding many issues. So, I ask again who will they turn to now?

Our school is extremely dependent on our parent coordinator for the day-to-day running of the school. It would be a disaster if she were let go.

Our parent coordinator is terrific. She’s very visible, does a lot to try and involve parents and the community by planning programs, etc. Then again, so few parents actually show up despite her strong efforts. Thus Klein would probably therefore make the case for firing her.

Under BloomKlein the number of administrators in nearly every school has gone up considerably. Why the need for any parent coordinators? Klein doesn’t listen to parents anyway.
