I find the linkage of “rubber rooms” to “seniority” particularly distasteful.
The “next frontier” should be test mania.
No wait, funding shortages.
No wait, lack of space.
No wait, record number and percent of graduates needing remedial classes even at the CUNY junior college level.
No wait, bogus planning and forecasting by Tweed.
No wait, a true policy-level analysis by the PEP of the “Close ‘em don’t fix ‘em” strategy that Chicago already ditched.
No wait, a Chancellor who should have been replaced long ago.
Then again, according to some, putting the senior teachers on an ice floe cures all.
