Perhaps the people on the PEP panels should look for another line of work after a couple of years, because there is going to be a major backlash politically against anyone who is associated with the Bloomberg admins after the next mayor takes power. If the people in the PEP think that they will use it as as catapult for higher public political offices read the writing on the wall now.

As what little independence was shown at this PEP meeting, it is still ridiculous to watch the constant 9-3 and 10-2 votes in favor of what Klein and Bloomberg want. The silliest thing is watching the lobbed, softball, set-up questions, several members ask to allow the speaker to intimate how grand the PD "software" and Logan Bus Company contracts are. Aside from Patrick Sullivan and Anna Santos these meetings seem scripted, and the decisions a foregone conclusion.
