Remainders: Budget crisis could mean losing pre-k, Paterson says

It will be interesting to see how education deformers react to the KJ/Rhee/Obama sexual misconduct/bribery/cover-up scandal.
A Congressional investigation of Americorps was conducted after the Americorps inspector general, Gerald Walpin, accused Kevin Johnson - darling of the education deformers, political ally of President Obama and Arne Duncan, and fiance of Michelle Rhee - of misusing $800,000 in federal money granted to St. Hope, a non-profit charter school that Johnson ran.
The report found that Johnson used Americorps volunteers to run personal errands for him, wash his car, and conduct political activities for his mayoral campaign in Sacramento.
The report also found that KJ had made “inappropriate advances” toward three young women at the charter school and then tried to pay them “hush money” to keep quiet. He offered one woman $1000 a month for the rest of her time at the charter school to stay quiet.
The sexual misconduct allegations were not revealed until October. The Obama administration knew that Johnson was being investigated by the Americorps inspector general and the US attorney’s office in Sacramento for misappropriation of federal funds, sexual misconduct and bribery, but decided to fire the inspector general instead.
Apparently the Accountability President decided there would be no accountability for his basketball buddy and political ally, Kevin Johnson.
It is interesting to note that were KJ a teacher accused of these crimes, Obama, Rhee, et al. would demand his firing right away.
But because he’s a connected insider with the right slant on education reform, the Obama administration decided to cover up the sexual misconduct allegations and fire the inspector general who brought them.
And the same goes for Rhee, who has allegedly helped run the cover-up of her fiance’s sexual misconduct scandal.
At the very least, she needs to be removed from running the DC school system until the investigation of the cover-up is completed.
But Ed deformers and the Obama administration will twist themselves into pretzels to protect her and her reform movement.
In Obama’s case, it looks like his administration is part of the cover-up of this scandal.
Now that’s change we can all believe in!
