I am hopeful that the admissions planning committee includes discussions about how qualified students from the 5 boroughs will be included in the application process for this school.

That way, someone like me, who grew up on the upper west side, but got priced out of the neighborhood, and who has been a committed public school parent for more than a decade, can send his kids there.

"If you do the outreach, but admissions policy isn’t equitable, then the kids don’t get in. And if you have the policy but not the outreach, then you don’t get the applicants that you’re looking for.”

I am hopeful that the admissions planning committee includes discussions about how students with varying special needs...deaf or blind or physically challenged....will be included in the application process for this school.
