Sol Stern is dead on…reading that made me sick to my stomach, seeing how taxpayers, and more importantly our children, suffer the consequences of such a crooked system. The UFT is a disgrace

    Re Item 2,
Tom C is a frequent commenter here, and a big charter booster with many titles attesting to his boosterhood.

Tom, I would like to challenge you to honor the word, “accountability” in “Foundation for Education Reform & Accountability” by calling for some *accountability* in the grossly inflated School Progress Report grades. And yes, this relates to charters….

It is nonsensical that the Chancellor could give nearly all the Traditional Public Schools A’s (while knocking 20% of the teachers no less with potentially career-ending “unsatisfactory” ratings)… while the Mayor is saying that only charters — the only kind of “reform” he’s hyping these days — can save the day.
