We Americans should respect Muslim faith and read Koran to dispel some of the myths surrounding Islam (Terrorrism, unfairness to women). Islam liberates women from being treated as a sex object. Islam says, "If you killed one innocent person, you have killed the entire human population. If you save one person, you have saved the entire human polution". Let us be Americans and read Koran to understand why 1/4 of the human population in the earth adhere to Islam. Children should be in class to read, but, keep in mind, Muslims observe only these two holidays and they should be respected. And, for kids IN school on those various holy days, provide one hour of *secular* instruction on why their more religious classmates might be out that day. You have to admit, it's a bit unfair, even if traditional, that Jews and Christians get each others' holy days off, but Muslims (and others) get nada.
