That's more frightening than, "Honey, what was that noise?" It's as if we were watching some slasher movie and the audience was yelling, "Don't go in there!" Or we were on one of those sickening spinning rides and hearing "Let's do that again!"     
What leader would look to implement the recommendations of the person who left?   Mr. Harries was a quick study, but quick study or not, another new person will use need time to learn the system, see the nuances of education for students with special needs and understand the budgeting issues for these students.  I wish him well and hope that New Haven will benefit.  
However, and there is always a however,  parents are the only ones left standing at the end of the day.  We do know our children.  We do know their needs.  We are their first and most important teachers.  We are the constant in the equations.  I hope that the DOE recognizes that and brings in the parents when the new person is chosen/knighted/crowned.</description>
