It would be a shame to let the term limits issue get in the way of doing what it right for our kids. There's no way we should allow Klein to openly discriminate against senior teachers in the hiring process. It's a shame how the UFT misrepresented this issue. Most teachers I spoke to at the time thought Klein we won on this issue and that salaries wouldn't be counted against us in hiring ("hold harmless" protects budgets, but doesn't remove the incentive to hire cheaper teachers). My heart goes out to those ATR's who are otherwise perfectly employable. I’m perfectly willing to strike over the Fair Funding issue.
